Meet the Team

Ben Cluny – Managing Director

Ben is the third generation Cluny to be a professional greengrocer. Ben runs our home delivery service and our wholesale operation which delivers fresh produce and ingredients six days a week to top chefs and kitchens in well-known restaurants, pubs and hotels across the North. A former chef, Ben is passionate about fresh fruit and veg and wants you to be able to cook at home with the same fantastic quality ingredients that we deliver to chefs.

Debbie Berry – Retail Manager

Debbie has spent over a decade in retail, working for local luxury supermarket Booths before joining Class One. She is a product expert and works closely with the team to extend our home delivery range sourcing high quality products, particularly from local suppliers. Debbie is also in charge of making sure that our service is working well and keeping you all happy!

Eddie Gill – Buyer

Eddie joined Class One as an apprentice, learning every aspect of the business with hands-on experience in every department including six months on the night shift. Now he is a key member of the buying team working closely with Ben and Debbie to ensure that Class One gets the pick of the crop at the best prices from our suppliers.

Gaz Keaton - Delivery Driver

Delivery drivers, like Gaz, play a key role in ensuring our produce arrives fresher than you’ll find in a supermarket. Our goods are in safe hands with Gaz behind the wheel and he’ll make sure he delivers to your door or leaves in a safe place if you’re out and about.

Nick Bowker - Warehouse Supervisor

Our warehouses are a hive of activity. Nick makes sure that our operations run smoothly so that our produce, dairy, bakery and pantry goods are picked and packed quickly and carefully so they reach you at their freshest.

Mick Cook - Afternoon Supervisor

Mick is responsible for picking and packing our domestic orders on the afternoon shift. He’s a capable leader and has high standards for packing with care, such as using secondary packing where it’s needed to protect the more easily-damaged produce.
